OCLUG has some ubuntu CDs - if that method will work I can give

The basic install was from a CD I downloaded from one of the listed

then 0 bits for a couple of minutes, - after which I guess it retries
and I get some download again.
I am wondering if BELL has decided that I need some throtling in my

I've been noticing a number of drastic random slowdowns on my DSL
line the last couple of days (Teksavvy) so I wonder if it's something
systemic on Bell's system? At one point yesterday I lost all HTTP,
SMTP and POP for about half an hour, while pings continued to work
just fine. I'm in the west end of Ottawa.
