I don't think the Linux client is not that bad. If it is the software I used it is based on the old Veritas Netbackup Unix client. If I am not mistaken Netbackup was originally written for Solaris. Netbackup is pretty cruffy and I am sure Symantec has only made it worst. You could do worst. -- sg
