Well, it looks like the printer driver is loaded properly.

I would guess it should, but I don't really know about usb printers.
There is a note on linuxprinters.org that says this printer will print
ascii text.  Maybe someone on this list has a working Epson usb printer
and would like to try "cat"ing a text file to it?

I don't know what else to suggest, except to look for error messages
from CUPS. There is always the CUPS documentation.  It looks like the
new gimpprint 5.0-beta is promising better support for your printer.
