Basically at boot time the system scans all harddrives for LVM tags and maps the logical drives into /dev. I am certain this will work but I have not tested it. If you want to test LVM I would recommend Debian/Sarge as it supports root on LVM without a seperate /boot. I think the only issue would be the boot loader finding the initrd. -- sg
