That's my home base for doing anything important and the phone is just for a bit of mobile Web browsing, calls and SMS. Yes, a laptop is more cumbersome than a tablet, but I don't take it with me when I walk around... I leave it in the hotel. It's an ancient crappy Lenovo with a LUKS-encrypted disk, so I'm not too worried about it going missing from the hotel room. And if I'm travelling as a tourist and want nice pictures, I use a real Canon digital camera. Better than any mobile device camera, though a lot more cumbersome. I also don't use AirBNB, and hotels always have a proper phone number and are usually responsive over email. €20 for a 30-day SIM is a very good deal. I paid a lot more than that in Amsterdam, but was probably ripped off. :( However, it did have unlimited data rather than a cap. Regards, Dianne.
