Great discussion about CA cloud providers 🙂 But what are your thoughts on European (EU) ones, with a presence in Canada? (e.g., if no suitable CA provider has been found for X need) I can be wrong, but I haven't heard of an EU legislation that would allow a government access to data stored outside its region (like CLOUD Act allows in the US). Personally, I've been using OVH for dedicated servers, domain names, and some simple Web hosting for quite some time. They have a CA presence in Montreal and Toronto. Their backend is leveraging OpenStack OSS quite a lot. Their specialty has always been dedicated servers, but they are growing in other areas. They also have some datacentres in the US, but it's a completely different entity. You need to create a new account, there's zero visibility of your cloud resources between CA and US accounts, etc. Happy to hear you! -- Gabriel On 2/11/25 3:29 AM, James via linux wrote: > I would say websavers.ca is Canadian as long as they have hosting that > is available in Canada. > > To unsubscribe send a blank message to linux+unsubscribe [ at ] linux-ottawa [ dot ] org > To get help send a blank message to linux+help [ at ] linux-ottawa [ dot ] org > To visit the archives: https://lists.linux-ottawa.org > To unsubscribe send a blank message to linux+unsubscribe [ at ] linux-ottawa [ dot ] org To get help send a blank message to linux+help [ at ] linux-ottawa [ dot ] org To visit the archives: https://lists.linux-ottawa.org
