update: 4k desktop was fine recording to a file. ("fine == 75% cpu") 4k video recording dropped the framerate to under 30fps. 1080p was buttery, even while recording youtube videos. all software, x264. obs used all cores. I don't stream so I can't test output to service like that, but I can't image why it would be more than streaming to a file since the cpu transcodes for both. didn't try hardware. I have nvidia, you want AMD so setup/requirements might be different, I don't know. that was on a passmark of 8057, a Ryzen 5 3600 would get you ~17000, so double what I have and ~800$ less that Ryzen 9. Forgot to check ram consumption. On Wed, Jan 20, 2021, at 8:40 PM, Christopher Harvey wrote: > Hi Allen, > > That sounds really overkill for zoom and video broadcasting.
