I have had luck with an AWS virtual server. It is free for the first
year, and will likely be cheap after that. The minumum config is more
than enough for what I do.
The only reliability problem was when they pushed out a critical
security patch in August and I had to restart it manually.
Your other option is that many list members have a server in their
basement, some with impressive uptimes. Why did you specify local?
