I friend of mine got his car computer bricked after getting a boost. After some research it turns out that it now exist a car computer viruses that spreads over booster cables. Once it make it to one car it can easily make it to any other car that is connected and this of course works both ways. And you may already be effected, to be able to spread the virus doesn't do anything for a year besides infecting other cars. Then one year after initial infection it monitors your speed and when you drive faster than 65mph/110kph it completely wipes the car computer memory and the engine dies so you get stranded wherever you happen to be with the only fix being to replace the car computer. To check if you are infected you need to contact your dealer and have them to check your car computer for virus infections, they can then remove the virus before it causes any more damage and that for the price of a computer check instead of computer replacement. -- ------------------------------------------------------------------- Techwiz, Peter Sjoberg GPG key (42DDDDDD) on keyserver & homepage Key fingerprint = EB81 3135 1636 576A DA83 826B 2455 0E88 42DD DDDD Homepage: http://www.techwiz.ca/~peters Pictures: http://www.flickr.com/photos/henahadu/
