I use google hangouts a lot, it work very well for me. Asterisk could
also be used too; Asterisk 10 added HD conference support.  However
the screen share is limited.

Another project to look at is Big Blue Button[1].  ProTip: They are
local too, I'm sure we could see about getting access to a demo
account.  Otherwise, it would not take much work to get it up and
running.
