I have no problem demonstrating the interface, and the main issue that I have with it, which is dual display, like internal and monitor, or projector. As well, I have a sheet with all keyboard shortcuts that I can print. It contains all keyboard commands that can be used on the desktop to manage programs, start shell, commands, etc....... If I can, I would also want to start this Ubuntu from a USB key, which I presented previously, but know this is a hot topic now. I don't what is the interest from the OCLUG group in this topic. I don't want to be boring......... JF --- Moi, je suis Linux, Et Windows 7, c'était pas mon idée !....... -------- Original Message -------- Subject: Re: [OCLUG-Tech] Demo your fave? What do you prefer? Are you more interested in demonstrating something else? On the other hand, a short demo of that interface would be useful, especially if you can say where they should be going to make it more usable. I plan on attending the meting in August, and I did some demo of the new Ubuntu Unity interface, and some of its problems. Honestly, I do not like it so much, but I am willing to r-install it for the sake of the demonstrations. Let me know if you are interested. I should have some time between my return from USA and OCLUG meeting to do the installation. The current plan is: - John Nash talks about Crunch Bang Linux - and ... blank space Is anyone using KDE 4 and loving it? Can you please tell us what's special about it? How about The New Gnome? Can anyone demo the good things about the new Ubuntu interface? I have heard about some problems, but I would like to see the good bits. Is anyone here using the mythical Rat Poison? I asked a group of people from the former Neterion, and haven't got anyone interested in tlaking about it. (yet) Thanks! Rob -- Rob Echlin, B.
