before everyone heads off for the weekend, i'll just advertise the first of what i hope are more ottawa linux kernel geek-ups for next tuesday, may 24. this will happen after work, 5 pm, at the code factory downtown, http://thecodefactory.ca/, 246 queen street between kent and bank, above the green papaya restaurant. the code factory officially closes at 5 pm but since i am now a member, i can be there after hours and let people in, although they'll need to buzz up to get in. you don't *need* to drop me a note to tell me you're thinking of coming, but it might be nice to get an idea of who is considering dropping by. if enough people say they'll be there, i can arrange for a pizza or two to also be present. if this takes off, i'll find a place on the net to post ongoing details of future meetings. remember that the goal here is to select some specific kernel feature beforehand as a topic, and discuss that during the geek-up. right now, i'm digging my way through kobjects and the sysfs so i'm just going to assign that as the topic for this geek-up, and people who want to play along should bring their own system with a full copy of the kernel source code as we will definitely be diving into the source. i'm going to be working there tuesday afternoon so if no one can make it, i will just continue working. i always have work with me so i'm good no matter what happens. rday -- ======================================================================== Robert P.
