Hi All; $Client has a service that is currently running with a service provider that has seen a lot of problems/incidents in the last few months. They have lost faith in this provider and want to move. I was hoping someone might have some experiences/suggestions as to providers that have used and had success with. Their looking for a hybrid solution that will allow a mix of bare metal DB servers, Virtualized web servers and managed networking/load balancing. They currently have their own hardware and may move it to the new provider if they can also find one that mixes the former with co-lo facilities (I have advised them to avoid this and use their own stuff for dev or DR). So in short they want: - Managed hosting - Managed networking - Load balancing for web servers - VMs for web servers - Physical servers for databases (VM not an option due to some product licensing/support limitations) - potential to also co-lo - As many 9's uptime as possible within budget, but budget currently under review so I have no hard number here. - Good/responsive support that can and will actually provide RCA on issues - Scalability for unspecified future endeavors I have a few ideas of where to look but any input would be welcome.
