Just wondering.

Greets Bill, been a while ah..:) From the page http://www.nero.com/eng/linux3-features.html the only difference is Blue-ray and HD support. Not sure if this is supported in K3B as I don't use these formats but Im sure others will chime in as needed. Heck I never even owned a VCR and now they are dead. Tells ya something I guess..:) Still like my toys however and the newest soon to be is the nokia n800/810. With a little hacking and tweeking blows everything off the market, even the Iphone I dare say, but thats personal opinion only..:)
Hey Chris:

It's been a few years!

I bought a couple eeepc mini laptops as a result of the good Professor Nash's reports and I've found them to be a huge hit. My wife who is a die hard corporate Windows desktop person loves it - and a good percentage of her acceptance is due to the quality packaging and the simple Xandros desktop. She travels often to Europe for work and no longer drags the arm-stretcher Windows XP laptop with her. The eeepc does email, browsing and basic office documents, and this was one of the first times I've had 100% immediate positive acceptance of Linux from a die hard corporate person.

She said that having the eeepc in her purse in airports simplified the inspection delays - and the diskless operation made the "show me it running" to screeners easy. One less bag.

She completely loves the size and simplicity enough that she defended the eeepc on her own to the corporate IT folks - telling them she was the boss, and they had better leave her and the eeepc alone. They tried to tell her it wasn't compatible and it was a toy. Wrong.

My 74 year old mother wants one now - but I've had my parents running Linux for five years already. I got sick and tired of supporting Windows from 600 kilometers distance.

Good luck with the Nokia. Post about your findings here. I haven't subscribed to the General list for years. Too many posts from people I do not want to listen to, topics I'm not interested in and regurgitation of the same stuff over and over.

Best wishes!
