backuppc looks nice, but first requirement is a *nix server. Pity I
**have** to send stuff to a Windoze machine so the U of O folk can put
it on tape. Maybe, however, I can just rsync, use a lot of space on the
Win machine that is an intermediary, and let Symantec worry about
performance.
Thanks to all for comments. Overall it seems like rsnapshot has some
glitchiness for some users (be nice to know "why?").
