Close! 

192.168.1.100 is your _computer's_ address. The reason you can't see
anything if you http://192.168.1.100 is that your computer is not
running a web server, which is entirely as it should be.

Your router's address, at least it's internally-facing address is
192.168.1.1, and if you put http://192.168.1.1 into your
browser you'll certainly be asked for a username and password; from
there (usually in the "status" menu or something much like it) you'll
be able to figure out what the externally-facing IP address of your
router is.
