I can certainly type faster with Dvorak, but I also have to run xwrits (which enforces a 5 minute break for every hour of typing) or my wrists get extremely painful. This need only started when I switched to Dvorak, but that also coincided with starting my first full time job after graduation, which could also have been the reason.
