Re: Classification of L3go

(found this in my drafts folder)
L3GO represents "Low Level Linux Group of Ottawa".

Thanks Richard. It has been brought to my attention that emails to/from me are being miscategorized by email clients. For another mailing list, all the emails to me were being flagged as "suspicious" and filtered into my Junk folder. I have raised the issue with a tech team, and have communicated how important mailing lists are to open source projects.

The original interests were as a technical professional developer group,
related to things like OLS, LPC, LSS, specific language groups, etc.
We were eager to continue meeting in person as soon as we could get out
from under a pandemic lockdown.

This is helpful, thank you.

OCLUG doesn't seem to have any such interest and remains comfortable
with online meetups.

Online, hybrid, or in-person - OCLUG seems to be well-attended and I have received some great help and support through that group.

Sincerely,
Katie

As was pointed out to me last night, L3GO is not a "user group". What would
L3GO mailing list members classify it as?
