Probably something in the build / packaging system.


For example, in a random React package's package.json:

    "production": [

      "not dead",

    ],

      "last 1 chrome version",
      "last 1 firefox version",
      "last 1 safari version"

So transpiling JS / TS for most-recent browser versions is an option, maybe a default. It's good to push people to use reasonably up-to-date browsers.
