I like the idea of discussing Win10 support termination and its consequences, but suggest
we do it for Sept so there's some prep. I'm willing to do a bit of research, as I need
Windows for running 2 applications that are important to me, but hate Win11 and am not sure
it will run on my machines or VirtualBox. I won't be around for Oct. meeting as I've
something on that date.
Perhaps someone has decent knowledge of ReactOS. I've tried it (VBox) and it did seem
to work to the extent of booting up. I've not tried the apps I need, however. Those
are Cloudlii (for telephone access to NCF lines for volunteering on HelpDesk) and
Calibre, in particular a special input filter that lets me save epubs to Linux. I
can run Calibre in Linux, but not the particular input filter.
Given the lack of a definite plan for today, I'll go to writers' group tonight, though often
get back about 20:15 and will check then for mgs. / activity.
