This reply went to the list by default but there have been times I had
to manually change the To:.
It says "OCLUG Mailing List" for the "From" and "To" so half the time I
don't know who writes something.
When I actually reply it says "Ron via linux".

Why does "Reply" go only to Jean-Francois (in this case) and not the
list?
Also, there's no Reply-to-List showing for these messages (in
Thunderbird) - is that a list configuration option that can be tweaked?
Default should be to reply to the entire list IMHO.
To the topic at hand:

Anyone wants to organize an installfestĀ for October, when Windows 10
will stop having support ? Should we talk about it at the meeting ?
I've seen other LUGs talk about install fests but they never report
back on how they went.
I'm all in favour of helping folks make the switch, but I do have some
questions on the effectiveness of these events:
1) How to reach normal Windows users?
Reddit maybe, anything else online?
Contacting retail stores / repair shops might be worthwhile, but
aren't they incentivised to sell new computers instead?
2) If upgrading their system, is there time and storage available to
do a complete backup of their disk(s), and install, restore their
data, and an intro to the new desktop environment?
3) Does the average Windows user know or care about Windows 10 EOL?
Won't they keep running it until they feel they need a new computer
for other reasons? See previous upgrades and the long tail of XP users
for precedent.
If any of these are solved problems, I'd love to hear about it so I
can spread the word to other LUGs.
