Functionality about right, I think. Size and weight might be a problem.
There are some "media controller" remotes that are like a
"decoder ring" or watch in size. I suspect the awkwardness
of my request is the small size of the need. We want buttons
because both sighted and blind need them rather than touch
screens (we have 2 blind dancers, one of whom calls dances,
and they are among our better dancers). But today everything
is touch screen or voice activated.
We're not in a desperate hurry, so I'll gnaw on the bone for a
few weeks at least.
Cheers and thanks, JN

This might be a useful option.
Look up the epomaker ek21 numeric keypad. Supposedly fully programmable and connects via bluetooth, 2.4ghz, or wired.
Buy some blank key caps and repurpose it.
There are a lot of small macro keyboard devices out there, but most are wired.

Pity it's from Amazon. I've been looking for alternatives, but so far
not very promising results.
You don't need to buy on Amazon. I use Amazon as a catalog and when I
find something interesting, I search the name and model number for alternate
places to buy it from.
Reagrds,
