Hi, thanks everyone for responding. re: "pride" ... I try very hard not to do monetary transactions over the internet, and have been this way for years, it is not a recent political decision. Although, it means I don't have to change my life due to recent political events : -) Here are some pictures of the rails I'm seeking. The rails are for holding the hard disks in a Coolermaster case - I have found the serial number for the case but I don't have the case model number handy. Working on that. Hopefully Coolermaster can get back to me on a business day, if they still have that old info available and are willing to tell me. Here are some pictures. I have reduced the size of the pictures, both the resolution (from 5184x3888 to 640x480) and the "quality" (10%) so, sorry about the picture background. It really suffered in the quality downgrade. This is a single broken rail (the springy part that snaps into place broke off). I need 2 more pairs. I'd most prefer to have parts made by Coolermaster - or some third-party maker - apparently if you don't hold the disks in nice and tight, they might suffer from vibrations and die a lot sooner. But, 3d-printing is an option if I cannot find any original parts. Thanks for the direct link to a design for the part. It looks like the right kind of rail. bjb On Sun, Mar 02, 2025 at 01:24:17PM -0500, Allan Fields via linux wrote: > It's not uncommon to 3d print a part for this type of bracket for older > hard to order stuff. > > The question is do you have a more specific meassurement or part number > to go on. > > Purely for fun, I dug up my spare drive brackets and found something > similar, but there is no guarantee any of those will fit.
