I tend to use offlineimap to get local Maildir folders and then use a combination of Mutt and Thunderbird depending on my mood. notmuch for mail indexing and searching, and msmtp to send my mail through one of several outgoing accounts. I also have postfix configured to relay out through my VPS if need be. Sadly I must use office365 at work and the only authentication methods allowed at the moment are oauth 2.0 because our I/T people are drinking the cool-aid and don't want to support legacy interfaces. So I run davmail as a proxy on my desktop and do it anyway. Very helpful. Mike
