I prepare taxes for myself and five or six other people every year (I was an accountant in a former life). I use StudioTax in a Windows VM to do it. I wish there was a better solution, but that's mostly on the CRA requiring their verification of software first. As a sidenote, my work computer where I do both developer-related things and finance-related things is a Linux host with a Windows VM, and I find it works very well.
