How is a dedicated virtual machine, all of whose traffic goes via the
VPN, any different from a hardware machine, all of whose traffic goes
via the VPN? Presumably, most people with a home LAN have multiple
devices on it (computers, phones, etc.) and even running the VPN on a
non-virtualized machine won't affect the routing tables of other
devices on the LAN.
