Not Linux? - It's the linux kernel (yes, it's a fork of it, but it is the linux kernel) - isn't it using the Gnu utilities? - The drivers are proprietary, but that's true of lots of Linux-based devices. Are they not Linux either? The interface is different, but then KDE, or Gnome or XFCE, or Unity are all different, and the WRT routers don't have GUI's. Why do you say it is not Linux? I'm interested to know what your definition of Linux excludes.
