[OCLUG-Tech] KPackageit broken dependencies

Hello Linux Help;

I have been running Linux on my system and my wife's system for a number
of years now. I have just done a version upgrade on my wife's machine to
KDE4 which uses the KPackageit for system updates. Unfortunately, the
KPackageit tells me that it cannot find updates because of broken
dependencies. I have tried using sudo apt-get update and number of other
apt-get commands that I have read on the Ubuntu help forums. Nothing
works.

It appears that the flashplugin-nonfree is in a very bad state and
cannot be removed or updated. I am not sure how to proceed. I cannot get
system updates, I cannot resolve the broken dependencies, nor can I get
flash installed on my wife's system. I seem quite stuck.

If there is anybody who can help me, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you in advance.

Cheers,
David Maybury
