Hi all, Continuing an annual tradition started in 2000, I'm leading the Hacker Bike Ride, a social event connected to the Ottawa Linux Symposium. We collect at Daly and Colonel By at 11:00 on this Sunday July 23rd where out of town delegates are able to saunter over to Rent-a-Bike and then we go for a ride. There are several rides from short(10km) to advanced (as much as 50km). This year, our medium and long routes will stop for a couple of hours at the OCLUG (oclug.on.ca) Linux in the Wild BBQ at Vincent Massey Park. You don't need to be registered with the conference to be welcome to join us. Please join us! The conference event page is here: http://www.linuxsymposium.org/2006/view_abstract.php?content_key=306 I'm also looking for a couple more ride leaders/tailers. If we have a short, medium and long ride, it is most helpful to have a leader and a tailer on each of the three. Ideally these would be people who are comfortable on a bicycle and somewhat knowledgeable about the city. If you are willing to do so, please email me (rgb [ at ] tricolour [ dot ] net) or leave a message on 613-237-1549. Thanks! See you on the ride! slainte mhath, RGB -- Richard Guy Briggs -- ~\ Auto-Free Ottawa!
