Have you tried fiddling with the MTU settings? I have an AMD 64 with Suse and the problem started when I upgraded from 9.1 to 9.2. It hangs after we log in and try to pay bills or get account info. We didn't have this problem with 9.0 or 9.1. I have a second machine (AMD Duron) which I experiment with other distributions and Debian 3.1 (Sarge) worked fine then I got Fedora 5 out of a magazine last month and the problem in now occuring on this secondary machine to my wife's consternation. I think it might have something to do with the security settings but it is difficult to tell. It seems to be the newer distributions. I've been using Mozilla under Windows to access Scotiabank and it seems to work fine. I can't imagine why the OS would matter. I haven't tried it under the Linux box here - it has no monitor, and I don't feel like fiddling with VNC or XWindows... _______________________________________________ Linux mailing list Linux [ at ] lists [ dot ] oclug [ dot ] on [ dot ] ca http://www.oclug.on.ca/mailman/listinfo/linux
