I am looking to replace my old HP IIc scanner, which still works but is physically large and requires a SCSI card. I've been looking at the SuSE and SANE sites and docs. There's some contradictory information on the status of Canan LIDE35 and LIDE50 back-ends. Does anyone have one of these scanners working, and if so, how well? A quick look around Merivale Road yesterday only found Canon scanners, maybe an odd HP or two. Who sells Epson in the central area/near-west end, which I understand the SANE people are much happier with? Thanks for your ideas and info, Brett
