[OCLUG-Tech] Something is eating /dev/null

I have been using suse 9.1

Somehow my dev null device keep turning into a regular file..

cmacd@linux:~> ls -l /dev/nu*
-rw-r--r--  1 root root   53 2005-03-23 08:47 /dev/null
-rw-r--r--  1 root root 1573 2005-03-16 10:21 /dev/null.2005-03-16.0
-rw-r--r--  1 root root 4310 2005-03-17 10:52 /dev/null.2005-03-17.0
-rw-r--r--  1 root root 1575 2005-03-18 09:29 /dev/null.2005-03-18.0
-rw-r--r--  1 root root 2133 2005-03-19 09:17 /dev/null.2005-03-19.0
-rw-r--r--  1 root root 4276 2005-03-20 09:34 /dev/null.2005-03-20.0
-rw-r--r--  1 root root 4770 2005-03-21 10:35 /dev/null.2005-03-21.0
-rw-r--r--  1 root root 1615 2005-03-22 08:31 /dev/null.2005-03-22.0
-rw-r--r--  1 root root 1627 2005-03-23 08:47 /dev/null.2005-03-23.0
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 17 2005-03-23 08:47 /dev/null.current -> null.2005-03-23.0

If I use yast and expand the devfs file I get back to:

cmacd@linux:~> ls -l /dev/nu*
crw-rw-rw-  1 root root 1, 3 2004-04-06 09:27 /dev/null
-rw-r--r--  1 root root 1573 2005-03-16 10:21 /dev/null.2005-03-16.0
-rw-r--r--  1 root root 4310 2005-03-17 10:52 /dev/null.2005-03-17.0
-rw-r--r--  1 root root 1575 2005-03-18 09:29 /dev/null.2005-03-18.0
-rw-r--r--  1 root root 2133 2005-03-19 09:17 /dev/null.2005-03-19.0
-rw-r--r--  1 root root 4276 2005-03-20 09:34 /dev/null.2005-03-20.0
-rw-r--r--  1 root root 4770 2005-03-21 10:35 /dev/null.2005-03-21.0
-rw-r--r--  1 root root 1615 2005-03-22 08:31 /dev/null.2005-03-22.0
-rw-r--r--  1 root root 1627 2005-03-23 08:47 /dev/null.2005-03-23.0
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 17 2005-03-23 08:47 /dev/null.current -> null.2005-03-23.0

Anyone have any idea of what is going on, or what I should do about it?
