Hey all,
Sharing this here since you might find it interesting but its not
strictly Linux focused. There is a group that has been organizing a talk
series in Ottawa called Ottawa Systems (https://ottawasystems.xyz/). Its
described as:
Ottawa Systems is an independent tech talk series focused on systems programming for the Ottawa, Ontario area. It is entirely community-run, not affiliated with any company.
We are focused on high quality talks and expert speakers. Talks about engineering problems and/or the details of their solutions.
Speakers can share their experience building, debugging, testing, and maintaining:
Compilers, parsers, virtual machines, IDEs, profiling, etc.
Databases, storage, networking, distributed systems
Large scale infrastructure, low latency, high availability services
Formal methods, verification
Browsers, kernel development, security, etc.
Algorithms, data structures, performance optimizations, HPC
Embedded systems, IoT, robotics, etc.
Machine learning training, inference, compute orchestration
Many other things..
I figured it would probably be interesting to some people here, they are
also looking for more talk submissions, so if you have some system level
topic (work or not related) that you think you could talk about the
organizers would really appreciate more submissions.
BR,
Lucas
