Never seen me, but hey Lucas! I hope you're doing OK? I suspect you're OK to take time off for your own health :). I showed up to the group merely once and got mired in family issues shortly after a blunder losing my phone while sporting a cane (....at a Linux meetup, of all places, lol); then didn't show up as a result of a hip fracture not long after and told almost nobody. So I'd say you're good, provided your health is OK? The folks I met were of 200% heart :). (Which is likely also news to Mr. sporty RGB :). That's why I haven't been in touch... ehh, I hopped on an e-scooter shortly after we met, few months, and found out the hard way why not to ride even moderately fast. Smash went my hip, up went life. Many new roomies since, other folks passed, etc, but things are finally stable -- very sloooow recovery... and miraculously, no cane as of today :)) I'm not lurking, and would like to join you folks again. Unfortunately my only claim to fame on deep tech *lately* has been basically fiddling with Godot, which isn't remotely near the low level I can operate at, although it did allow for creative outlets while functionally disabled. I guess my current fascination, being a bit better now, is with charity efforts - homelessness, the intersection with government, lack of access to resources. I have a bad habit of walking when I shouldn't, meeting people my wits let me get away with, and teaching tech to elderly - while trying to come to terms with the fact that maybe my next role won't involve inventing fancy C++ templates... but rather, understanding where I best fit in the OSS ecosystem as this weirdo polyglot coder who seems to pick up whatever and correct it, as long as there is a defined noble end goal. If I'm still in, is Saigon Pho still "the place"? If I can't make it: quois de neufs, mons amis???
