I've attached a PDF of the FAQ where Rogers apparently "announced" the discontinuation of the service.
When I spoke to a Supervisor, they told me that they don't cut you off (strategy to avoid the heat), they just won't reinstate once you have issues that break the connection !!!
SMTP/IMAP servers are still online and will continue until the last one drops off!
I had an issue that I tried to start an NNTP connection, got confused, messed up my SMTP connection setup, couldn't resolve, was stupid enough to delete my existing "App Password" setup to create a new one, only to discover that they don't allow that.  Should have tried that before deleting the old one, but live and learn.
So, any chance that rattling the cages at the upper end of the hierarchy will get my setting sreinstated or not?  Opinions?

I haven't heard of them cancelling that service, although I don't use it
so my knowledge (or lack thereof) isn't meaningful.

What's the error message you're seeing?

Rogers says these settings work:

https://www.rogers.com/support/internet/shaw-email/pop-and-imap-email-server-settings#outgoing-mail-server-with-authentication

Also, Rogers uses Yahoo for email:

resolvectl query --type mx rogers.com
rogers.com IN MX 10 mx-rogers.mail.am0.yahoodns.net

Maybe escalate with Yahoo?

Yet another reason to look at moving to a Canadian host like North Mail
recently mentioned here:
