Not to sound like a broken record, but Nextcloud can pretty much do what
Google offers and I highly recommend everyone try it.
I found that The Galaxy S25
is also hard to get another OS loaded as well.
As I am also using Samsung phones, but a cheaper A series, I will also
consider getting rid of Android from Google and install something else.
Is there anything that I should look for as loading a different OS on my
Galaxy A28 (I think this is the model) ? Or the A series in general ?
As a general rule here, I think we will now avoid Samsung products for
future phones. Any Android expert who could recommend another brand, one
which could accept a non-Google OS ?
My understanding is that Samsung uses Snapdragon on North American
phones and are all boot-loader locked.
Their international versions use their own Exynos SoC which is not locked.
So, no alternatives on North American Samsung phones.
