I can reproduce the problem in Thunar... apparently, Thunar sorts as in "sort -n" which is just completely broken. https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=5359 It considers 200410PeterFrohn95thBirthday02withFamily to come before 19460904PeterFrohnwedding01 because the number 200,410 is less than the number 19,460,904 (In my tests, it doesn't even behave exactly like "sort -n"...
