Trying to understand IPv6 w/ my router

I have an account with he.net for IPv6 addresses, and I am trying to
configure my router to forward IPv6 connections. Once enabled, and properly
configured (I think), it provides IPv6 addresses in the allocated range,
with the /64 netmask. However, when looking with ip command, I see that I
have two addresses in this range allocated to my network adapter, as well
as an IPv6 address starting with FE80: which is for local addresses.
However, the default route is on this, which means that unless I wish to
contact an IP in my own subnet, I cannot go anywhere. I read that this is
normal for my computer tho have such IP addresses, but how can I fix my
routing table so I can contact anyone with an IPv6 address ?

Thanks :-)
