I'd been looking at things like Dianne suggests. Since there are not too many
buttons on 1 side, it could be feasible.

Pity it's from Amazon. I've been looking for alternatives, but so far not very
promising results.

 From Linux's point of view, it shows up as a USB keyboard.  However, it
may not be suitable for you if you want one with only a few buttons... this
is a full QWERTY keyboard on one side with a TV-like remote control
on the other.
