Historical reference:
During the AIDS crisis, when no government was doing anything useful
about AIDS, there were demonstrations all over, including at the San
Francisco city Call.
One day someone got fed up and made up a new sign:
"Thank you for wearing a tie in support of AIDS victims"
City counselors were tearing off their ties, saying, "How come nobody
told me about this?" and "I didn't know!"
I dropped this one on as many sites as I have accounts that are a little
bit active.
Not sure how many LGBTQ+ know about this.
I think it's close enough to the original that people will recognize it.
If it picks up any traction.
