Hi linuxers! David here, from Montreal, Toronto and now Pembroke! I'm a 20+ year linux user turned evangelist, I was a member of several hacklabs and makerspaces in Toronto, and for about 6 years I ran a little neighbourhood joint called "linuxcaffe". Obviously, I'm into the open source thing, BUT here in Pembroke I just can't find "my people". Where be the local nerds? Is there a local LUG? Is there anything resembling a MakerSpace around here? Can we start one? I might be able to join the Jitsi meetup tomorrow, but I'm putting it out there! djp On Tue, 3 Dec 2024 at 22:53, Scott Murphy via linux <linux [ at ] linux-ottawa [ dot ] org> wrote: > Meeting Announcement: Linux-Ottawa December 2024 Meeting. > > Date/Time: Thursday December 5th at 7pm > > Format: > - Online over Jitsi: https://meet.jit.si/oclug_2024-12-05_meeting > - Check the mailing list for in-person clusters being hosted by other > members. > > Topics: > > - Rob has a talk prepared on AppSec > - Title: An AppSec meeting?
