If you write GPL'd software, you can change the license going forward... but then anyone can take the last GPL'd release and fork it. Since Linux has many authors, it's unlikely in the extreme that they'd all agree to change the license going forward. So no. The GPL for Linux cannot and will not be revoked. Regards, Dianne.
