Hack session to advance OCLUG live distro
When: April 29, 2017, 13:30 - 16:30
Where: 18 Spyglass Ridge, Stittsville
(2 blocks S of Hazeldean on Springbrook,
Rona is opposite Springbrook.)
RSVP: Please let me know if you are likely to come, even if
not absolutely certain. I've plenty of space, but need
to put out chairs etc.
Notes: Please bring slippers or indoor shoes. We
don't allow bare feet or outdoor footware
on our dance floor. There'll be a tray or cardboard
by the door for shoes, and a coat rack downstairs.
I have decent internet. Also a number of
different machines, some quite old, some recent,
to allow for testing. Blank/emptied USBs useful.

Topics to be addressed:
- developing a live-distro that has a reasonable
graphical interface (e.g., OpenBox plus some
add-ons)
- some form of easy remastering to allow the
distro to be repurposed e.g., DanceBox, or
interface to allow GIT/SVN and file editing,
or a some set of personal tools
- bootup on EFI or legacy
- script to make transfer to USB easy
- documentation of the above
- any other relevant ideas!
