A friend gave me one of these 15" clunker "laptops". Said it was "broken", but it booted then installed Linux Mint 18
just fine. Interesting box -- 4GB RAM, 300GB drive, lots of sockets, even an eSata. And a DVD writer.
Suspect the battery is flaky, which I've noticed gives Windoze trouble, and that may be reason it was a give-away.
It's a reasonably capable box, and I'd like to find a suitable home for it with someone who needs a machine and will use
it under Linux. Get in touch by email if you have ideas.
