Does this explain where your recently freecycled 30GB hard drives came from? :)

   last night, i threw caution to the winds and just ran a
"dist-upgrade" on my ubuntu 12.04 system to bring it up to 12.10. and,
amazingly, it seemed to work fine.

   so i figured i could do it all over again, and go from 12.10 to
13.04 and, based on what i read, that would involve running simply:

   $ sudo do-release-upgrade

anyone done this and can warn me whether i have anything to worry
about? the transition from 12.04 to 12.10 was amazingly painless.
