Hi Would you like to participate in a SIG, as part of a regular OCLUG meeting? At the board meetings, we have been discussing ways to improve OCLUG meetings. "SIG time" from 8:30 to 9:00 is one suggestion. For instance, the Linux Phogography SIG has been less active lately. Maybe meeting as part of the monthlyu meeting would help. Some people have said the would like to go to their meetings, if they could. - email issues group could meet in this time. (described in another email) - IPV6 enthusiasts used to meet in parallel with part of the OCLUG meetings Have you any other suggestions for a SIG? Here are some: - command line discussions - BASH, ZSH, shell programming - customizing your Linux setup - Perl - intro to programming on Linux - setting up a router with custom Linux distros - accounting on Linux - Games on Linux Would you like to have a common mail list for the SIGs, and separate lists for any that get a lot of traffic? The Linux Photography SIG has its own mail list. Of course, all groups could schedule meetings at other times, as well. Goups are also invited to make short presentations to the main group, or long ones. All my very best, Rob -- Rob Echlin, B.
