Hi, all, Roaring Penguin is looking for a sales engineer for a six-month term position. We need someone with good technical skills as well as good sales-related skills (pleasant phone manner; at ease dealing with customers.) The position involves doing online demos of our anti-spam products to prospective customers. Each demo lasts between 30 and 60 minutes. We need someone who can learn quickly and can handle technical questions from prospects. As far as technical background goes: You'll need to understand SMTP and email in general. Working knowlege of IMAP, POP3, SNMP and LDAP would be very helpful, as is familiarity with Linux system administration.
