Re: [OCLUG-Tech] Linux Digest, Vol 96, Issue 2

Hi Rob:

I am amazed at what these low powered machines can do if they have a decent graphics processor. I've got a Raspbmc setup working on our entertainment system.

The system I envision is something like the Zotac or Acer Veriton. The veriton at $300 has an Nvidia GPU, 2G of memory and dual Atom CPU. Now add a Ubuntu Desktop, XBMC, Miro, and this Netflix hack and you've got everything from one box.

Hi Peter,
Interesting!
I would have thought that Atoms were too low horsepower.
But I don't know what specs they run today.

I will have to try this on my P4.
