  week after next, i'm teaching the red hat course in linux system
programming and will almost certainly have the time to expand on each
topic to be covered.

  all of the chapters include fairly basic examples of standard system
programming (process management, memory management, timers, etc.) but
i'd like to find more cool examples of stuff like that.

  any pointers to online examples of such things?  i realize that's a
pretty vague request but i'll collect neat examples a little at a time
until i have a comfortable collection of them.  thanks.
