The Board did discuss topic below at last exec meeting, but did not really make a decision. I had already suggested that for a WINE session it makes no sense to talk in generalities -- one needs to have a set of applications which are to be run BEFORE presenting or will get "Does it run XYZ?" questions. Other board members have made similar comments. I am willing to present a general "Linux is just an operating system" presentation, but I'm going to suggest that the "WINE" talk be changed to "Making anything work under Linux" i.e., use of Wine, VMs, and web/server based solutions. There may be an agenda of the School Board folk that is not perfectly aligned with FLOSS, but the two topics could be rolled out more generally and be useful to OCLUG to have as resource material.
